Production Manager

About the role

Lead our casting and machining operations at the Lien Ha Thai plant. You will own throughput, quality, and on-time delivery for a factory producing 400,000+ brake drums a year.

What you will do

• Manage the full production cycle from sand-mold casting through CNC finishing and dimensional inspection.
• Supervise shift supervisors and approximately 80 production workers across two shifts.
• Set and track daily KPIs — output, scrap rate, downtime, OEE — and report to the General Director.
• Coordinate with QC for first-piece inspection, in-process checks, and final release.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 documented procedures and ensure audit readiness.
• Own the production schedule and communicate capacity constraints to the sales team.
• Manage preventive maintenance planning for casting equipment and CNC turning centers.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of production management experience in casting, forging, or heavy-duty parts manufacturing.
• Proven track record of managing teams of 50+ in a shift environment.
• Solid understanding of casting processes, heat treatment, and CNC machining.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable reading SPC charts, OEE reports, and cost variance data.
• Proficiency in Vietnamese; working English for international correspondence.

Nice to have

• Experience producing brake drums, rotors, or other safety-critical automotive parts.
• Exposure to FMVSS 121 or SAE brake drum standards.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.
• Experience exporting to the US or EU market.
