Introduction
Earlier this month, TBP Auto team made the trip to Indianapolis for Work Truck Week 2026, hosted annually by NTEA. What we found was an industry that knows exactly what it wants from its suppliers. After waves of disruptions – supply chain shocks, tariff uncertainty, and an EV push that outpaced reality – fleets and distributors are refocusing on the fundamentals.
What the Market Is Actually Saying
The mood at Work Truck Week 2026 was pragmatic. Across the floor, the conversations kept returning to the same core pressures:
- Cost discipline and supply chain predictability. Fleets are tightening operations and expect their suppliers to do the same – clear lead times, consistent pricing, no surprises.
- Part reliability over part novelty. Buyers aren't looking for the latest thing. They're looking for the thing that works, every time, at scale.
- The supplier relationship itself. What stood out most was how consistently people emphasized supplier relationships – not just product specs or pricing, but whether a supplier communicates clearly, delivers on time, and stands behind what they sell.

On the technology side, there's genuine curiosity about where AI telematics, electrification, and advanced diagnostics are headed. However, most professionals we spoke with are making decisions in the present – for vehicles on the road today, maintained by real teams, under real budget constraints.
Diesel platforms remain dominant, and practical reliability continues to outweigh forward-looking promises.

Where TBP Auto Fits In
The commercial vehicle aftermarket has high standards and a sharp instinct for separating suppliers that perform from those that overpromise. What Work Truck Week 2026 reinforced for us is that the North American market isn't looking for the flashiest option, it's looking for the most dependable one.
That's a conversation TBP Auto is well-positioned to be part of. Our focus on OEM-grade quality, consistent production standards, and transparent supply chains aligns directly with what buyers in this market are prioritizing.
Recently, TBP Auto achieved both ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) certifications – adding to our existing ISO 9001:2015 quality management foundation.
We've also established a U.S. entity to strengthen our presence in the American market, making it easier than ever for American customers to reach us.
"The conversations at Work Truck Week 2026 were a reminder that trust is the real currency in this industry. Fleets and distributors want suppliers they can rely on, not just for one shipment, but over the long term. That's exactly the kind of partner TBP Auto is committed to being." – Miranda Khuc, Global Sales at TBP Auto

The Work Isn't Done in Indianapolis
The value of an event like Work Truck Week isn't measured on the show floor, it's in what happens next. Indianapolis gave us a useful reality check and confirmed we're building in the right direction.
The market signals we picked up, the gaps we identified, and the conversations that are still ongoing will feed directly into how we continue to develop products, how we communicate with partners, and how we show up for customers in the months ahead.
